Project-Based Learning in Action

What is Project-Based Learning?

Project Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students learn by actively engaging in real world and personally- meaningful projects.

Project-Based Learning

1st/ 2nd Grade

This program welcomes learners at the start of their elementary school journey. We focus on early literacy and math skills, incorporating social and emotional learning, and introducing Project-Based Learning experiences.

3rd/ 4th Grade

In this mixed-grade classroom we build upon the literacy and math skills of the previous grades, and extend the Project-Based Learning to allow for the application of learned skills. Additionally, science, history, civics, creative art, and life skills are incorporated into the curriculum.

5th/ 6th Grade

Our 5th and 6th graders mature as competent and active learners using and expanding on the skills and knowledge gained in the lower grades. A continued focus on fluent reading and writing skills supports the students’ success in Project-Based Learning.

7th/ 8th Grade

These middle school grades focus on the continued development of learning approaches, fostering independence, creativity, and critical thinking. Students begin to prepare for their upcoming high school experience with attention placed on time and task management, organization, leadership skills, and creating goals for success. Academic achievement in core subjects is promoted using Project-Based Learning.

In all grades, we guide and support children to develop their social skills, make and maintain friendships, and manage peer-group influences.

Tuition: September 2026 - June 2027 - $1650 per month
